National Dancing Competition for Students

The purpose of this competition is to enhance dance education, to develop students' interest and ability in dance, and to promote Chinese culture. In addition, students can also compete in competitions to increase their interest and sense of accomplishment in learning and practicing dance sports. In response to the diversification of pathways for students in recent years, it is important to cultivate students' personal interests and expertise, and to provide a broader pathway for students to pursue their studies. The National Student Dance Competition is organized by the Ministry of Education and is divided into a preliminary round and a regional final round. The preliminary round will be hosted by each county and city government, while the final round will be hosted by the Physical Education Research and Development Center and co-hosted by each county and city government. Students must first pass the preliminary rounds to qualify for the national finals in each region. The competition will be held on a school year basis, with the preliminary rounds to be completed by each county and city government before the end of the first half of the school year, and the final rounds to be held after the start of the second half of the school year.
